eDPI Calculator

800 DPI at 0.4 sensitivity in Valorant is an eDPI of 320, or 40.82 cm per 360. The same turn speed in CS2 is a sensitivity of 1.27.

How to use

  1. Enter your mouse DPI and the in-game sensitivity, then pick the game.
  2. Read eDPI, centimetres and inches of mouse travel for a full 360 degree turn.
  3. Pick a second game to see the sensitivity that gives the same turn speed there.

How it works

eDPI = DPI × in-game sensitivity.

Inches per 360 = 360 ÷ (DPI × sensitivity × yaw). Centimetres per 360 = inches × 2.54. Yaw is how many degrees one mouse count turns you at sensitivity 1.

Yaw values used: Valorant 0.07, Counter-Strike 2 and Apex Legends 0.022, Overwatch 2 and Call of Duty 0.0066. Valorant's 0.07 and the Source engine value 0.022 are the commonly published figures that mouse-sensitivity converters use.

Converted sensitivity = sensitivity × yaw of the first game ÷ yaw of the second. Your DPI stays the same, and the cm/360 is identical in both games.

FAQ

What is a good eDPI?

It depends on the game, because the same eDPI turns at different speeds in games with different yaw. Compare cm/360 instead, which is the same physical distance everywhere. Many players of tactical shooters sit somewhere around 25 to 50 cm per 360.

Why can't I compare eDPI between Valorant and CS2?

Valorant's yaw is 0.07 and CS2's is 0.022, about 3.2 times apart. The same eDPI is a very different turn speed. Use cm/360 or the converter.

Is Fortnite or Rainbow Six Siege included?

Not yet. Their sensitivity scales (Fortnite's percentage slider tied to field of view, for example) need figures we could not verify, so we left them out instead of guessing.

Does a high DPI make me faster?

No. Only the product DPI × sensitivity matters for turn speed. A higher DPI changes how fine the cursor steps are, not how far you turn per centimetre.
