How it works
Whole months are counted from the birth date to the chosen date. Years are those months divided by 12, and the months left over are shown next to them.
The days are what remains after the last whole month. A month is complete once the same day of the month has been reached. If the birth day does not exist in a month, for example the 31st in a 30-day month, the month counts as complete on its last day.
Total days is the exact number of calendar days between the two dates. Weeks are total days divided by 7, rounded down.
People born on 29 February have their birthday shown as 28 February in years that are not leap years.

How is age calculated exactly?
By counting complete years, then complete months, then the remaining days between the date of birth and the chosen date. Both dates are treated as whole days in the same time zone.
Can I find my age on a past or future date?
Yes. Change the "Age at" date. It works for any date from year 1, but the birth date must not be later than the date you are measuring to.
What happens if I was born on 29 February?
In non-leap years your birthday is taken as 28 February. Local laws differ on whether the legal birthday is 28 February or 1 March, so check the rule that applies to you for official purposes.
