Your result appears here when the time is up.

How to use

  1. Choose 5 or 10 seconds.
  2. Click, tap, or press Space or Enter on the big area. The first click starts the timer and counts as one click.
  3. Keep clicking until time runs out. Your clicks per second (CPS) and total clicks appear, and a new best is saved for that length.
  4. Press Try again to start over.

How it works

CPS = total clicks / test length in seconds, rounded to two decimals. For example, 33 clicks in 5 seconds is 6.6 CPS.

The timer uses the browser's high-resolution clock and ends exactly when the time is up, even if you stop clicking. A click that lands after the time is up is not counted.

Holding a key down does not count: only separate presses are counted.

FAQ

Is the first click counted?

Yes. The first click starts the timer and counts as click number one.

Where is my best score saved?

In your browser's local storage, separately for 5 and 10 seconds. It is not sent anywhere, and clearing site data removes it.

Does the right mouse button count?

No. Only the main button, a tap, or Space and Enter count. The right-click menu is blocked inside the test area so it does not get in the way.

Why is my score lower on the 10 second test?

Most people tire over a longer test, so the average rate usually drops. Compare scores only with the same test length.
