Minecraft XP Calculator
Reaching level 30 takes 1,395 experience points in total, and level 30 to 31 takes another 112. The formulas are the same in Java and Bedrock, and the tool also converts points back to levels.
How to use
- Pick Level to points, Points to level, or Between levels.
- Type a level, a total number of points, or the start and end levels.
- Read the result with the points to the next level and the bottles o' enchanting that add up to that many points.
How it works
Total points to reach level L: L² + 6L up to level 16; 2.5L² − 40.5L + 360 from level 17 to 31; 4.5L² − 162.5L + 2220 from level 32. These are the formulas given on the Minecraft Wiki and they apply to both Java and Bedrock.
Points to go from level L to L + 1: 2L + 7 up to level 15; 5L − 38 from level 16 to 30; 9L − 158 from level 31. For example, level 30 needs 112 points to reach 31, and the total for level 30 is 1,395.
Points to level inverts the same formulas and counts only whole points. Anything after the decimal point is dropped.
A bottle o' enchanting gives 3 to 11 points, 7 on average, so the bottle count is a rounded-up estimate. Mob drops, smelting and mining give their own amounts.
