Pace Calculator
Running 10 km in 50 minutes is a pace of 5:00 per km, 8:03 per mile and 12 km/h.
How to use
- Choose what to find: Pace, Finish time or Distance.
- Enter the other two values. Tap a preset such as 5K or Marathon to fill the distance.
- The result shows pace per km and per mile, speed, and the finish times for common race distances at that pace.
How it works
Pace = time ÷ distance. Finish time = distance × pace. Distance = time ÷ pace. Speed in km/h = 3600 ÷ pace in seconds per km.
One mile is 1.609344 km, so a pace per mile is the pace per km × 1.609344.
Race distances: 5K = 5 km, 10K = 10 km, half marathon = 21.0975 km and marathon = 42.195 km. The predictions assume you hold the same pace for the whole distance.
Times and paces are rounded to the nearest second.

| 3:00:00 | 4:16 | 6:52 | 14.06 |
| 3:30:00 | 4:59 | 8:01 | 12.06 |
| 4:00:00 | 5:41 | 9:09 | 10.55 |
| 4:30:00 | 6:24 | 10:18 | 9.38 |

FAQ
How do I calculate running pace?
Divide the time by the distance. 25 minutes for 5 km is 5 minutes per km, which is 8:03 per mile.
How do I convert a km pace to a mile pace?
Multiply by 1.609344. A pace of 5:00 per km is 8:03 per mile. Divide to go the other way.
Is a predicted marathon time realistic from a 5K pace?
Usually not. Most runners slow down over longer distances, so holding a 5K pace for a marathon is unrealistic. Treat the predictions as the time for steady running at that exact pace.
How long is a marathon?
A marathon is 42.195 km, or about 26.2 miles. A half marathon is 21.0975 km.
