How to use

  1. Drop a PDF onto the box, or press it to choose a file (up to 50 MB). Then create your signature: draw it with a finger or mouse, type your name in a handwriting style, or choose an image of your signature.
  2. Your signature appears on the page preview. Drag it to the right spot and drag its corner to resize it. Arrow keys move it and the plus and minus keys resize it. Use the page arrows to move to another page.
  3. Choose where to apply it: this page, all pages or the last page. Press Sign and save PDF, then Download.

How it works

The signature is saved as a transparent PNG and placed on the page as an image. Its position is stored as a share of the visible page, so it lands in the same place whatever the page size or rotation.

The rest of the page is not redrawn, so text stays selectable and quality does not change. This adds a picture of your signature. It is not a certified digital signature with a certificate.

Pages are drawn with pdf.js and the signed file is written with pdf-lib, both in your browser. The handwriting fonts load only when you open the Type tab. Your document and signature are never sent to a server.

FAQ

Is my PDF or signature uploaded?

No. Everything happens in this browser tab. There is no upload, no account and no copy kept anywhere else. Your signature is gone when you close the page.

Is this a legally binding digital signature?

It places an image of your signature, which many everyday forms and agreements accept. It does not create a certified digital signature with a certificate. If a process requires one, use the signing service that asks for it.

Can I sign in a language other than English?

Yes. Use Draw for any script. The typed handwriting styles support Latin letters only.

Can I use a photo of my handwritten signature?

Yes. Open the Image tab, choose the photo and keep the option to make the white background transparent. A signature written with a dark pen on white paper works best.

Why does it say the file is password protected?

The PDF is encrypted, so it cannot be opened without its password. Open it in a PDF viewer, remove the password (save or print to a new PDF), then add that copy here.
