How to use

  1. Drop a PDF onto the box, or press it to choose a file (up to 50 MB). The page count is shown.
  2. Type the pages you want in Pages, for example 1-3,5. Separate items with commas and write ranges with a hyphen.
  3. Choose One file to gather all the pages into a single PDF, or One file per range to get a separate PDF for each item. Press Split PDF, then Download.

How it works

The text is read left to right, split at commas. A single number is one page, and a-b means page a through page b, both included. 1-3,5 selects pages 1, 2, 3 and 5. Page 1 is the first page, and numbers must not be greater than the page count.

In One file mode the selected pages are copied in the order you typed them, so 5,1-2 puts page 5 first, and a page written twice appears twice. In One file per range mode every item becomes its own PDF, named after its range.

Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality. The PDF library is downloaded only when you choose a file on this page, and your document is never sent to a server.

FAQ

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The file is read and split on your device in this browser tab. There is no upload, no account and no copy kept anywhere else. That makes it safe for contracts and ID documents.

How do I write the page ranges?

Use numbers and hyphens separated by commas: 1-3,5 means pages 1 to 3 and page 5. Spaces are ignored. A range must go up, so 3-1 is not accepted.

Why does it say the file is password protected?

The PDF is encrypted and cannot be read without its password. Open it in a PDF viewer, remove the password (save or print to a new PDF), then use that copy here.

Can I get every page as its own file?

Type every page number separated by commas, such as 1,2,3,4, and choose One file per range. Each page then becomes its own PDF.

Does the original file change?

No. Your original stays exactly as it is. The tool only creates new files that you can download.
