How to use
- Enter how many paragraphs, sentences or words you need and pick the unit.
- Choose whether to start with Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet and whether to wrap paragraphs in p tags.
- Press Generate, then Copy. Press Regenerate for a different version.
How it works
Sentences are built from a list of about 100 classic lorem ipsum words. Each sentence has 6 to 16 words, and longer ones get one comma.
Each paragraph has 3 to 6 sentences. Word mode gives lowercase words separated by single spaces.
You can generate up to 50 paragraphs, 200 sentences or 5,000 words at a time. Words are picked with your browser's random number generator, so each run is different.
Where lorem ipsum comes from
The standard lorem ipsum passage is an altered excerpt from De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum, a work by Cicero written in 45 BC. Words were dropped, cut and rearranged, which is why the text looks like Latin but does not read as Latin.

Not really. The words come from Latin, but they are shuffled and cut so the text does not form meaningful sentences.

Yes. Turn on Wrap in p tags and each paragraph is wrapped in its own p element, one per line.
Is there a limit?
Up to 50 paragraphs, 200 sentences or 5,000 words per run. Generate again and paste twice if you need more.
