Merge PDF
Merging PDFs copies every page of every file, in the order you set, into one new PDF, so the page count is the sum of all the files. Each file can be up to 50 MB and nothing is uploaded.
How to use
- Drop two or more PDF files onto the box, or press it to choose files. Each file can be up to 50 MB.
- Check the page count of each file. Use Move up and Move down to set the order, and Remove to take a file out.
- Press Merge PDF, then Download. The merged file keeps every page of every file, in the order of the list.
How it works
Each PDF is opened in your browser and its pages are copied, in order, into a new empty PDF. The total page count of the result is the sum of the page counts of the files.
Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality. Bookmarks, form fields and links that point to other pages are not carried over.
The small library that reads and writes PDF files is downloaded only when you choose a file on this page. Your documents are never sent to a server.
Tips
- Name your files with numbers (01, 02, 03) so they are easy to check in the list.
- To drop a few pages from a file before merging, use Split PDF with the page ranges you want to keep.
- If the merged file is too large to send, try a PDF compressor on the result.
FAQ
Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. The files are read and joined on your device in this browser tab. There is no upload, no account and no copy kept anywhere else. That makes it safe for contracts and ID documents.
Why does it say the file is password protected?
The PDF is encrypted and cannot be read without its password. Open it in a PDF viewer, remove the password (save or print to a new PDF), then add that copy here.
Why does it say the file is damaged?
The file is not a valid PDF, or part of it is missing, for example after an interrupted download. Try downloading the original again.
Is there a limit on pages or files?
Each file can be up to 50 MB. The number of files is not limited, but very large merges use a lot of memory, so on a phone keep the total under a few hundred MB.
Can I rearrange single pages?
Not here. This tool joins whole files. Use Split PDF to pull out the pages you need, then merge the pieces in the order you want.
